Did you, yes you, ever just lie down and listen to the rain? I did once and this is how I felt:
I felt like the clouds were telling us that someone is hurt or very hurt or very very hurt or is dying. That made me sad, the raindrops made me think of someone who is sad, like they are crying the rain down on us.
I think if you are scared of the rain and the thunder, don't be because the rain might be telling us something we didn't know before. And after the rain is done, the sun comes out and things are happy once again.

That pice of ART.
My Aunt Satu and Cousin Jenny gave my family a great piece of art. It is a picture of a man's head that looks like it is open at the top. It is not open like blood and brains, it is open with light and colors coming out of the top. I think the piece tells you that he is thinking so hard that his head is wide open. The name of this artwork, which is written on the back of the painting is "open", and we think that it is because it is supposed to show that he has an open mind to the world around him.
I love this picture, it is hanging in my dining room. I am really glad that my aunt and cousin gave it to us, my parents like it a lot and it reminds them of my uncle, who loved it a lot too.

ice skating troubles
Jamie had her birthday party at ice land. It was the first time I have every been on ice skates. I fell on my butt about 10 times. I felt like I broke my butt when I fell, but I got right back up and keep on trying. By the end of the party I was skating pretty good for a first timer!!!! I am looking forward to going ice skating again!!!
I felt very proud of myself for not giving up, I had the same feeling about working on my reading skills!!!!!

My New Dance Costume !
Every Tuesday, I go to a dance class, where we are learning the "hip hop" style of dancing. I like it a lot and have been doing it for 2 years. This Tuesday, at dance class, I got my costume for the yearly dance recital.
The costume is black and green, and one of the parts of the costume is like a bathing suit. The other part is like overalls, with green loops on the side ! My shirt has no sleeves, and is really really pretty! I like my costume a lot and it makes me feel like a rock star!
Every year, at the end of the dance class, we have a big recital that all of the families go to. It was held at Queens College last year, in a giant auditorium, and even though I was really nervous, it was a lot of fun in the end! I feel like the costume makes me stand out and makes me look really pretty. It is really really cool and I am very excited for this year's recital.

The flamingo march
When I was in the Bahamas my family went to the zoo. We saw tons of different animals that only live in the Bahamas. Some of them were endangered. At 12:30 there was a flamingo show. we did not know what to expect? The flamingos came out marching like soldiers in the army. It was amazing, they were listening to a man in an uniform. After the show we were allowed to take pictures with them. My whole family enjoyed the show.

The Colors of the Bahamas
My family just came back from a week in the Bahamas for vacation. While we were in the Bahamas, we saw all sorts of colors, from the blue of the water, to yellow and red flowers, and even pink buildings!
The pink buildings are the government buildings in the Bahamas. They stand out from the rest of the buildings. We also saw a bar that was all blue, like the blue of the water, to dark deep blue. The Bahamas is full of color, and so colorful that it feels like I am looking at a rainbow when I am there.
The houses are all very different and very brightly colored. My family and I took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the streets of the Bahamas, and we got to see all of the different houses with all of the different colors. The Bahama houses and the New York houses are a thousand times different.
I had a great time in the Bahamas and will always remember the rainbow of colors that I saw there.

Sea Glass
Sea glass starts off as a regular piece of glass, then it gets tumbled over by thousands and thousands of waves, sometimes for years and years, until it gets frosty and smooth, not sharp like it starts off. It comes in all colors, from green to brown to blue to clear to purple! The blue glass is the rarest, because there are not many blue bottles made anymore.
My family loves to collect sea glass. We collect it from all over the place, anywhere that there is a beach, including Jones Beach, Rockaway Beach, and the Bahamas, where we just went on vacation. In the Bahamas, we collected about 100 pieces of Sea Glass in just 3 days looking!!
We love collecting Sea Glass and putting it in bottles, bowls, and all around the house, because it looks so great and reminds us of the beach!!!
