Sea Glass

Sea glass starts off as a regular piece of glass, then it gets tumbled over by thousands and thousands of waves, sometimes for years and years, until it gets frosty and smooth, not sharp like it starts off. It comes in all colors, from green to brown to blue to clear to purple! The blue glass is the rarest, because there are not many blue bottles made anymore.

My family loves to collect sea glass. We collect it from all over the place, anywhere that there is a beach, including Jones Beach, Rockaway Beach, and the Bahamas, where we just went on vacation. In the Bahamas, we collected about 100 pieces of Sea Glass in just 3 days looking!!

We love collecting Sea Glass and putting it in bottles, bowls, and all around the house, because it looks so great and reminds us of the beach!!!

  2. Skylar,

It's great the way you transitioned from sharing facts about sea glass to telling about your personal experience.
